The Rescue Mission facility expansion and renovation creates a new emergency shelter and day center in Syracuse, NY. The old recreation center was completely renovated and rebuilt to include a second floor. The expansion enabled the Rescue Mission to increase its shelter capacity by 50 beds to host 183 people.
The facility includes an employment and education resource center along with a health services wing, laundry room and fitness center. This will be a secured site where homeless men and women will be able to stay separately as they get services and support to assist them. LECESSE partnered with SWBR Architects on this project.
